El Charro Express Mexican Restaurant – Authentic Mexican Flavors & Friendly Service in Lexington, SC

The food was amazing and so was the service. Employees were all friendly and the restaurant was super clean. They have inside and outside seating and have high chairs. The Michelada pictured was also amazing. Never had it served this way and it was a fun touch! Their salsa is also probably one of the best salsa's I've ever had! We will definitely be back.

We wanted to try a Mexican place we had not been to before and I am so glad we did. All of our food was great and plentiful. The kids ACP was huge! Everything is very flavorful. The atmosphere was clean and crisp and the service was amazing! I plenty of seating inside and out. Highly recommend at least trying one time. As for us it will be our New Mexican spot!

Very clean and fast friendly service. Most Mexican restaurants you fill up on chips with salsa before finally getting your order. The food came out before finishing the first basket of chips. I was also offered a free sample of a burrito cheesecake which was delicious. Great service and prices. Highly recommend giving them a try if you haven't already.

Discovered this gem and I’ve already been twice this past week. Portions are generous, enough to make two meals and very affordable. My food has been fresh and fast each time. I appreciate how there is still flavor and freshness within the veggies instead of them being overcooked and smothered in cheese. Highly recommend the charro bowl and pollo loco. The manager, Leon, was so friendly and helpful with giving us recommendations. He even wrote down a list for us! Everyone who works there is nice. It’s a really clean, inviting, friendly atmosphere. I brought my dog the second time and enjoyed the outside weather on the patio while watching sports on the tv. I’m impressed with this place. Has everything you could possibly want in a casual eatery and food is wonderfully flavorful. I fear for my wallet

El Charro is hands-down one of the best Mexican spots around. The food is fresh and well-priced, the cheese dip is excellent, and they always have solid drink deals — like today’s $2 Margarita Monday. Leo is super friendly and always makes the experience even better. Easily my go-to Mexican restaurant in the area. Highly recommend!

As soon as you walk in everyone is so welcoming! The food is amazing! Any Mexican restaurant I go to I always have order ceviche and I have to say this is one of the best one I ever had! I’m from Charleston! I deff will come back when I’m in town.

I was disappointed when the pizza place that used to be here closed, but wow—this new spot has more than made up for it. I’ve had their food about five times now, and I have yet to be disappointed. On this visit, we ordered the cheesesteak burrito with rice and beans, a salad, the cheesecake dessert burrito, and guacamole. Everything was delicious, and the portions were generous—plenty for two people! The staff is always wonderful as well. Another great meal. I’ll definitely keep coming back. Thank you!

A friend told us to check out his sister’s family restaurant, El Charro in Lexington, SC, and we’re really glad we went. As soon as we walked in, the staff greeted us right away and got us seated at a table for our group of four. They brought out chips and their classic salsa, which was perfect to snack on while we looked over the menu. Our server was super friendly, kept our drinks topped off, and made sure everything was on point. The manager also stopped by and helped us choose what to order, which we really appreciated. We ended up getting the Charro Bowl, flan, cheesecake burrito, and a piña colada. The Charro Bowl was definitely the standout—great flavor, great texture, and a huge portion. My boyfriend and I shared it and still had enough left to take home for the next day. The desserts and drink were also delicious. Overall, we had an awesome experience at El Charro. Great food, great service, and a super welcoming vibe. We’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu!
